Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Personal plan is free and stays free. We only ask for billing details when you upgrade to Pro or Business, or if your usage exceeds the Personal limit two months in a row.
What counts as a call?
Any inbound call answered by Diala — whether the caller leaves a real message or hangs up immediately. Calls that don't reach the AI (busy signals, no-rings) don't count.
Can I bring my own phone number?
Yes, on Pro and Business. Port-in takes 2–10 business days depending on your carrier; we handle the paperwork. You can also forward your existing line to a Diala number without porting.
What about international calling?
US, Canada, UK, and EU numbers are included. Other regions are available on Business with a per-minute surcharge that matches our Twilio cost — we don't mark it up.
How is my data handled?
Calls and transcripts are tenant-scoped to your account, never used for training, and deleted on the retention schedule you pick. See the Security and Privacy pages for the long version.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the end of the billing period. Annual plans are pro-rated for the first 30 days. There's no exit fee, no retention call, and your data exports as JSON before deletion.
